The Department of commerce is one among the 17th departments of the Govt. Autonomous College, Angul with 03 numbers of sanctioned faculty positions and intake capacity of 192 students in each year. The department came into existence in the year 1980. The department is proud of its teachers and students, who have been playing a pioneering role in the promotion of Commerce education in the State of Odisha. The teachers focus on developing the ability of the students to understand, analyse and communicate global, economic, legal and ethical aspects of business. The Department aims at providing opportunities for holistic development of students.
