The study centre of OSOU situated at Government (Autonomous) College, Angul (0101) started imparting open education from 2016. Its purpose is to provide access to higher education to all segments of the society, offer high quality, innovative and need-based programmes at different levels; reach out to the disadvantaged by offering low cost open education.
Its mission is to make positive contribution to increase the gross enrollment ratio in the higher education in the state and to promote inclusiveness in higher education by targetting disadvantaged social groups and dropped out students.
