The P.G. Department of Political Science was created in the year 1984. The sanctioned strength of regular faculty is 03. At present, the Department is running with two regular faculties and two guest faculties .The sanctioned strength of +3 1st year is 48, 2nd year is 48 and 3rd year is 48. Similarly,the sanctioned strength of PG first year and second year is 32 each. Besides class room teachings, there are many extra-curricular activities undertaken in the department. The department implements the 5T action plan approved by the Government of Odisha on priority basis. The PG syllabus is followed as per prescriptions of affiliating university i.e. Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar. However, in UG classes the State Model Syllabus as prescribed by the Department of Higher Education, has been implemented
