About the Department

The Departmentof Chemistry came into existence in the year, 1960. The Department of Chemistry is one among the 17th departments of the Govt. Autonomous College Angul with 07 numbers of sanctioned faculty positions. The honours teaching begins with intake capacity of 60 students in each year. The department offers UG programme following the CBCS syllabus. The department consists of well equipped laboratories and well stocked seminar library. The department is proud to have faculty members,who have been playing a pioneering role in producing eminent scholars in different areas of Odisha and outside as well. Many of the alumni of the Department have held higher respectable position both in India and abroad.
