P.G Department of Economics is an old and premier department of the College. The Under Graduate class with Economics Honours was established in 1959. The Post-Graduate class was opened with 16 seats. The department follows the CBCS syllabus of our State for under graduate classes and for P.G the department follows syllabus of the affiliating university i.e. Utkal University, Vani vihar, Bhubaneswar. Being one of the pioneer departments of economics we offer the U.G and P.G Courses which consist of – Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Financial Economics, Industrial Economics, Research Methodology, Mathematical Economics and Econometrics, along with Preparation of Projects for UG classes and Dissertation and Seminar Papers for P.G Classes etc. The department is organizing seminars at all levels. The P.G Department of Economics is presently a Centre of Attraction in the field of Economics. Students from all over Odisha apply for a seat to excel in their career in the field of economics.
