About the Department

Department of physics was established as an undergraduate department with pass course in session 1960-61 and honours course in session 1971-72. It is upgraded to PG department with the introduction of PG Physics course in session 2015-16. The department is considered as a leading centre of teaching and research in physics. Many scholars passed from the department have excelled in their respective careers. Now, the department is running with 07 number of teaching staffs and 02 number of non-teaching staffs. The state model syllabus based in CBCS was introduced in 2019-20 session. Teachers continuously motivate the students to appear in various national level exams and pursue higher studies in physics. Students of the department have scored highest marks and received best graduate award several times.
